Online Portfolio Clinic: Editorial Illustration: From Brief to Cover
    Instructor:
    Karen Justl

Editorial illustration has a long-standing role in shaping magazine covers and drawing viewers into the narrative from the very first glance.

In this online workshop, you will take on the role of an editorial illustrator, responding to a real-world magazine cover assignment. You will complete a finished editorial illustration presented as a magazine cover, supported by thumbnails, concept development, and a visual pitch. This virtual workshop introduces you to the professional process of responding to an editorial brief and demonstrates how illustration can communicate complex stories, ideas and personalities through a magazine cover illustration. These narratives can be interpreted literally, conceptually, metaphorically, humorously, or through a combination of approaches.

Please note: This Online Portfolio Clinic is not included in the In-Person Portfolio Clinics Package.
