    About This Course:
    Peek-a-Boo Package Design starts by looking at different ways to incorporate illustration, hand drawn text, and images in 3Dimensional approaches to packaging. Then, with sketching, ideation and material research, you will explore inventive package design for every-day objects! In this workshop, you will utilize a variety of creative techniques & approaches to 3Dimensional thinking, integrate your own photos, drawings, illustrations, and hand-drawn typography into aggressively cute 3Dimensional package design! Connect for twice a week for live classes, plus an optional Wednesday live feedback session. 

     Karen Justl  is a visual artist, illustrator & graphic designer. Her work has been seen in indie movies & film festivals @ Sundance Film Festival, TIFF, HOT DOCS, in print @ subTerrain Magazine, Broken Pencil, Kiss Machine, Herizons Magazine, Pilot Paperback Project & Crow's Toes Magazine for Children, and at book festivals—THIN AIR | Winnipeg International Writer's Festival. She holds an MDes/ Masters of Design from the Ontario College of Art and Design University, in Toronto, and a BFA Honours in painting from the University of Manitoba. She is a sessional instructor at the University of Manitoba, (5 years). She has been teaching Time/Motion/Media, Motion Design and Colour & 2D as a sessional at OCAD University for 3 years and teaches illustration and graphic design tech in studio & online at OCAD U's Continuing Studies Program, since 2011.She divides her time between her studio in Toronto and hometown, Winnipeg, Mb.
