    Course Description

Memory Palace: Nurturing Your Creative Process

Artists and designers use many different techniques, concepts and strategies to motivate creative projects or ideas. A well-known strategy is one called a “memory palace,” which is a way to reflect on and re-experience aspects of a memory that holds special meaning for you.

This course introduces you to the concept of a memory palace through a series of creative exercises and prompts that are designed to have you engage more deeply with your memories using content, process, and form. In this 4-week course, you will be creating and publishing a memory palace of an experience in the form of a zine or booklet.

You will learn more about your creative process by exploring new creative techniques with an emphasis on experimenting with different kinds of mediums or disciplines by making unique and personal observations in a shared online environment.

Through the various modules you will:
    🍃Nurture your creative process
🎨Try new creative techniques by practicing artistic gestures
🌐Consider multiple ways of observing and making
🎉Develop visual and media literacy: appreciate visual language through learning by doing
💭Understand how to write and talk about your work by documenting your influences, reasonings, and creative decisions
